SESSION 1:

SELF REFLECTION:

  • This session was helpful for me because it provided me with a creative technique of developing ideas by working in a group.
  • I was amazed that how working as a group helps to increase creativity and increase in the ideas development process.
  • teamwork helped in increasing collaboration, which resulted in getting more ideas and a rapid growth in productivity.

SESSION 2:

SELF REFLECTION:

  • In this session, each person was supposed to write 2 words to represent their joy and wrote on paper, and then all the paper chits were mixed and everyone took 2 chits randomly without knowing what is inside.
  • First we were given a task to write good, bad and weird thing you can apply to that word and then in the second task we were asked to give your word a name and a logo to guide others about what your idea is about.
  • Each idea was then passed to the other person one by one in a circle and each person tried to make that idea better or add changes.
  • By doing this exercise, it was amazing to see the results in the end because each idea was then improved and improvised by others and provided you loads of unique and amazing ideas because of the collaboration and interaction of group students into each other’s ideas.

SESSION 3:

SELF REFLECTION:

  • In this session, we worked on different creative techniques of creating ideas and improvise creative thinking process.
  • Some techniques were difficult to work with, for example; the first exercise where we were asked to draw circles and try to add the any thing or object which is circle based and anything which you can add to the circles, this process was still creative but the only issue was that we were thinking about all the circle shaped objects and things and the thinking was restricted to circles only.
  • All the exercises we did in this session were quite restricted to some elements and because of that restricted part, the thinking process was quite difficult and the mind was taking more time even when working in the groups but overall it was all beneficial to experiment all different creative strategies.

SESSION 4:

SELF REFLECTION:

  • This session was divided into 2 parts, in the first part everyone worked individually in which we were asked to create lists of 10 things that you like, 10 things you hate, 10 random things and 10 favorite locations (places).
  • After that we were given a small brief to choose 5 things/objects from the list or may be outside the list that connect to your joy and combine the things together to create something (product, idea, mock-up design etc)
  • In the second part of the session, all students were given a creative word and then each of us presented their own ideas in front of everyone and each person was suppose to give their feedback and review according to the word that they were provided with and then each time the word was passed to other person in a circle.
  • I would say this exercise worked well to get everyone’s opinion. All members of the group have a chance to speak, the discussion is not dominated by any one person. Group members gave feedback on a certain idea or opinion of others and the arguments were based on the content of ideas and opinions, not on personalities.

SESSION 5:

SELF REFLECTION:

  • In this last session, we did some mini tasks and in the end we were divided into groups where we planned a game strategy and each group were then given some tasks to create ideas for a game.
  • The exercise according to me didn’t worked well because there were two groups working at the same time for a game strategy and ideas planning and it was getting difficult to collaborate with each others ideas and then plan the strategies.
